Rik Annema
Karma Nine is an acronym for singer/songwriter Rik Annema, former front man of the indie-pop band A Silent Express, which garnered a lot of success on Dutch Radio between 2010 & 2014. Over the years, Rik has accumulated over the insane amount of 2 billion streams, he has been writing and producing for an array of national and international artists including R3HAB, Armin van Buuren, Lucas & Steve, OMI, CMC$, Conor Maynard, HRVY, Hardwell, Snoop Dogg, Loud Luxury, Gatüsso, Nils Hoffmann, Brennnan Heart, Damon Sharpe, Deepend and many more.
He notably co-wrote and co-produced the massive hit ‘Sex’ for established stars Kris Kross Amsterdam & Cheat Codes, which has over 1 billion streams on Spotify alone and has gone platinum in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and
Sweden. He also worked a lot with R3HAB on tracks such as ‘All Comes Back To You’, ‘BAD!’, ‘Ones You Miss’ and the chart-topping global hit ‘All Around The World (LaLaLa)’ with A Touch Of Class in 2019.
Equally, Rik has some remarkable cuts in the Asian market and within the K-pop world with artists such as T.U.B.S, TVXQ, NCT 127, NCT Dream, BoA, KEY and Katt Wu to name a few. He contributed to the hit ‘Made To Love’ by Xiao Zhan, which was #7 Global Best Selling Single in 2020.
