Jesse Hydro
Jesse Blokdijk is a songwriter and artist from Utrecht, the Netherlands. He began his journey in music inspired by Ed Sheeran, who motivated him to start writing songs with his guitar. Around the same time, the work of Martin Garrix sparked his interest in producing, leading him to explore the technical side of creating music.
Jesse specializes in songwriting for dance music, bringing a strong focus on lyrics. His background in a family that values language has shaped his approach to writing, making him skilled at crafting meaningful and catchy songs.
As an artist, he works under two main projects. The first is his artist project, Jesse Hydro, where he creates viral social media moments by translating Dutch folk and pop music into English. This project has been successful on TikTok, where he has over 3 million views, and on Instagram, where his audience continues to grow.
In March 2024, Jesse launched Dela Utca, a dance-focused project that has already achieved over 10 million Spotify streams. His ability to work across genres has made him a versatile musician, balancing his artist career with his work as a songwriter and producer.
Jesse studied production at the Conservatory in Haarlem and collaborated with industry professionals such as Radboud Miedema and Niels Zuiderhoek, with whom he produced his first singles. His music is released under labels such as Soave, V2 Records and MAIN Music.
Jesse’s live performances include eight support shows for Flemming during his club tour, five opening acts for Edwin Evers, and multiple appearances at Popronde. He is also booked for the main stage at Live at the Lake in 2025.
In May 2024, Jesse partnered with Nordic Music Partners, part of Music at Work, to further grow his career internationally. Currently, he is focused on creating new English-language music for his Jesse Hydro project, collaborating with songwriters Yoshi Breen and Jason OK, known for their work on hits for Rondé and other major artists. With this strong team in place, the goal is to take Jesse Hydro to new heights in 2025.
